As many as 100 migrants from Texas were let off two buses in front of Vice President Kamala Harris’ official residence early Thursday, just days after she claimed the border is secure.

The incident is the latest case of red states exporting the open borders problem to the liberals they blame for causing it. It followed a similar one Wednesday night, when Florida sent two planes with 50 migrants to the tiny liberal playland of Martha’s Vineyard, where the Obamas own a surfside mansion.

“The border is secure,” Harris told “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd on Sunday.

The buses are believed to have departed from Del Rio, Texas, and made the 1,800-mile journey to the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., where Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff live. Fox News, which was on hand as the migrants got off the bus, reported that the group included people from Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico.

Republican governors Greg Abbott, of Texas, Ron DeSantis, of Florida, and Doug Ducey, of Arizona have been sending migrants to blue cities and states to bring attention to the border problem. An estimated 2 million migrants have flooded into the country since President Joe Biden took office and repealed most of former President Trump’s border security policies.

“President Biden’s inaction at our southern border continues putting the lives of Texans — and Americans — at risk and is overwhelming our communities,” Abbott said last month. “To continue providing much-needed relief to our small, overrun border towns, Chicago will join fellow sanctuary cities Washington, D.C., and New York City as an additional drop-off location.”

Abbott’s office claims more than 7,700 migrants have been dropped off in Washington and more than 2,100 in New York since April. The state has spent an estimated $12 million chartering the buses.

Democrat leaders, including Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser, and New York Mayor Eric Adams, who have all supported the administration’s border policies, have decried the busing tactic and said their cities and states cannot absorb the influx of migrants.

Bowser last week declared a public emergency over the previous arrival of buses from Texas and Arizona. She has sought help from the National Guard in dealing with the problem, but has been denied twice by the Department of Defense.
