Trump: ‘Not one’ European country has been improved by mass immigration

President Trump doubled down on previous comments he made regarding mass migration to Europe, saying “not one” European country has been improved by a massive influx of immigrants and refugees.

In an interview aired Tuesday, Trump told Fox that Europe’s culture was being destroyed by their loose border laws.

“The immigration policies in Europe are a disaster. You’re destroying Europe. You’re destroying the culture of Europe. The crime is up in those areas, and you better do something,” Trump told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson in an interview that aired Tuesday night.

The president added that he views the situation in Europe as a warning to the U.S. that it needs to be stronger on border security, which he says still includes a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border.

On Friday, Trump said during a joint press conference alongside British Prime Minister Theresa May that Europe “better watch themselves” regarding immigration.

Trump implemented a zero tolerance policy on illegal immigration earlier this year that drew widespread criticism after it resulted in an increase in immigrant children being separated from family members.
